The first time I met Rachel and Jon was at their engagement shoot. I honestly must have done something right to be so blessed to work with such awesome people. Jon and Rachel are fun, kind, easy-going, and absolutely perfect for each other. We met at Grand Vue Park for the first few shots. Grand Vue Park is also the home of Rachel's brother, Patrick Fisher's, BBQ restaurant Mason Dixon BBQ (if you haven't tried it - GO NOW). After Grand Vue we shot in downtown Wheeling and Stifel Fine Arts Center. There were a few times I teared up behind the camera during this shoot- which is fairly normal for me at a wedding, but not so much on an engagement shoot. Jon was telling me about living in Louisville and he said "we're best friends, we're each other's family down there." I just thought that was the sweetest thing to say and from what I know from spending time with these two, they are each in good hands! This shoot was packed full of natural laughter, hugs, dancing, kisses, hand holding, and even an appearance by their sweet pup Peaches (AKA Peachy, Peach, Peachy Pie). Here are a few of my favorites.... This next series of photos was the other time I teared up... I said "hold pinkies like a pinky promise to each other." In between shots I saw Jon whisper "I love you" to Rachel. I think he said something else but I'm not certain because my eyes were full of water. Thank you Jon and Rachel for choosing me as your photographer. Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Fisher and Peaches. I can't wait to shoot the Fisher/Redd Wedding July 2017.
Lots of Love, Kristin

What a sweet honor it was to shoot maternity photos for two of my best friends. Steve and Melanie are expecting their baby girl, Brooke, in the next few weeks. We decided shoot on their beautiful property in the evening. They are so excited for her arrival and her nursery is packed with hand made sentimental items with a pastel aztec/country theme that is to die for. I can not wait to meet baby Brooke and watch Mel and Steve be great parents. This was such a special shoot for me... here are a few of my favorites... Lots of Love,
Kristin It was a beautiful, hot, super sunny day when Brett and Erica said "I do." Their wedding was at Grand Vue Park outside on a hill surrounded by their friends and family and warm sunshine. Brett and Erica are so easy to work with and I had such a great time shooting their big day. Aside from being their photographer, I've been their friend as well, so I definitely teared up a few times during both the ceremony and the reception. There are SO MANY photos it was hard to choose just a few for this little blog post. They definitely have LOTS of surprises. Here are a few of my favorites..... Thank you Brett and Erica for the honor of shooting your wedding day. I am so excited for you to see the rest of your photos!!
Lots of Love, Kristin Meet my new clients, the Rayles! Honestly, how do I get so lucky to meet and work with such great people? We met for our session at Grand Vue Park and as soon as we started shooting I knew it was going to be one of those shoots. The shoots that I can't wait to go home and load onto my big screen and start choosing the images I'm going to edit. You can honestly see in Natalie and Guy's eyes how happy they are and it makes me smile. They were so natural in front of the camera and baby girl Linden...Oh My Gosh she's the cutest, happiest little one! Thank you so much, Natalie and Guy, for choosing me to capture some sweet memories... Here are a few of my favorites.... Lots of Love,
Kristin For four years I have been wanting to shoot Back-to-School mini sessions, and this year it is finally happening... last minute, but it's happening! I've always thought it would be cool to take "school" photos outside in new school clothes and a relaxed environment. There is something about the start of fall and the school year that always feels like a fresh blank slate full of the excitement of another year. Even at 32. Maybe it is just because everyone is getting back from vacations and starting into their routines. I love summer, but I would be lying if I said I haven't already started shopping the fall scented candles. Those are my jam! Annnnnywho..I honestly think what pushed me over the edge to shoot the test shots for these Back to School Mini Sessions was my mother dropping off a beautiful old wooden desk that she found at a yard sale and bought for me. She and I talk about all our ideas and she knew I had been in the market for an old desk for a few years :) I also have the most beautiful little neighbor/pretty-much-family member, Kelsey, and she agreed to model for me! Back-to-School Mini Sessions 20 minute photo session (can include up to 3 kids) Who: kids ranging from Preschool-High School Senior Where: Grand Vue When: August 8,9,10 5-8 (will be scheduled in 1/2 hour increments) Includes: Session.
