Two of the sweetest people I have ever met got married and I was the lucky photographer they hired to capture their memories! When Emily contacted me about shooting her wedding we had never met. When I met with her and Brian at The Alpha I knew that our personalities matched and that this was going to be so much fun. We had a great meeting and even realized we have a lot of mutual friends and a lot of things in common. We became friends on social media, attended some of the same weddings, showers, and even a steak fry together. I am so happy that not only did I gain new clients, I gained new friends who are just good people. (Bonus: their families are awesome, too) From that very first night we met at the Alpha I noticed how they treated each other. Emily and Brian are truly in love and it is such a beautiful thing. He went along with all our crazy ideas during their engagement shoot and she kept up with his killer dance moves at Sean and Jaime's wedding. Their wedding was gorgeous, heartfelt, fun, and full of love- it was perfect. Some of my favorite moments were her father seeing her in her dress for the first time, taking photos of the bridal party at their house and shooting around all their solo cups and bottles, watching Brian carry Emily through their front door, all the craziness during the bridal party/bride and groom photos, and watching all their friends and family watch them dance for the first time as husband and wife. A lot of times I find myself tearing up behind my lens at weddings and this one was definitely one of those times. Here are a few of my favorites... We ran into another fun bridal party! Looking good Emily! So are you Brian! The bridesmaids had an idea for a photo... There are honestly SO many dancing photos from the reception, that I am going to save them as surprises for Emily and Brian. From the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful for the opportunity to shoot this beautiful wedding and for getting to know you both. Cheers to years of happiness, memories, and adventures!

My friends had a baby! She is cute, squishy, happy, smells like heaven, and her name is Arlow. Robert and Amanda contacted me about taking "newborn" photos of baby Arlow just as my photography season began for the year. I warned them that my version of a newborn shoot is much different than something you may see on Pinterest (although sometimes I get adventurous and out of my comfort zone). God bless the newborn studio portrait photographers of the world; your job is something I am not cut out for. When I agree to take photos of newborns it is in natural light, natural positions, and natural settings. Robert and Amanda have been friends of mine for years and it is so awesome to see a perfect little human with both of their qualities. Since they were in the process of moving back home from Morgantown (woohoo!), we agreed that it would be easiest to shoot these photos at my house. Here are a few of my favorites..... Pinky Promises Fist Bumps ....and when your father is ornery, you flip your first birdie Toes! Baby Arlow, you are so loved.
xoxo, Kristin Lisa and Chris have been my clients for years. It started with maternity photos when they were pregnant with their first child, Josie. Since then, we have had lots of photo sessions filled with laughter and this time was no different! This time, we did a short session at Grand Vue Park. I was so pumped when Lisa contacted me and told me she is expecting because I knew that meant another adorable Stuckey child to photograph. Josie and I have so much fun on our shoots together. I think this might be the only photo shoot that I didn't have to edit a stick out of her hand. I love laid back shoots and the Stuckeys are always laid back and fun- that always creates raw, natural, photos. Here are a few of my favorites..... Thank you Lisa and Chris for continuing to choose me time and again to take your beautiful and sweet family's photos. I am so excited for your growing family!
Lots of Love, Kristin One of the very first shoots I booked was Ty & Brady's engagement photos. I worked with Brady at the time and we Pinterested, A LOT. It is so crazy to me that I am their family photographer now and that they have a little person, Peyton, who is equal parts of their awesome. Ty contacted me when I was running my Mom & Me Mini Session Special and bought a session for Brady, I was so excited because I love getting to catch up with her and visit with baby Peyton. Peyton is already smart, kind, and funny and there is nothing that warms my heart more than capturing sweet interactions between people that clearly love each other; that is Brady and Peyton for sure! To me, there is something so beautiful about simple photos, without all the props, focusing on what is important. These photos were taken while going on a walk through Oglebay Park. Here are a few of my favorites.... Always time for a snack break! Thank you Peyton, Brady, & Ty for making me smile every time I see you! And thank you for being wonderful clients!
