When your good friend, who just so happens to be beautiful, has a creative idea and wants to hire you to take photos of her - you say "yes" and ask questions later. If you are not familiar with the "Cake Smash" trend; they are usually photos of a toddler with a cake in front of them and then they are photographed smashing, eating, etc. They are adorable, and precious, and fun. But of all the smashes I've ever shot, this one takes the cake (see what I did there)! Happy 30th Birthday Amber! Thank you Amber for the super fun shoot- I'm so happy you were born! Happy Birthday!

I will never forget waiting on the arrival of baby Clay. One of my dearest friends, Chelsea, was due around my birthday. I remember getting the text that Clay had been born, and Chelsea said "he was born on tax day!" I can't believe it has been one year. It seems like I have known this little man way longer than that. Seeing Chelsea and Evan be such great and caring parents is heartwarming and beautiful. They love this little boy so much, and who doesn't? As most one year olds, Clay was very interested in doing anything but getting his photo taken on this day. I could see the anxiety on Chelsea's face, just the same as every client with a small child. "What if we don't get any photos?" As a photographer, I simply take a deep breath and chase them around and smile a lot. Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot. I just love this little boy! Thank you Evan, Chelsea, and Clay! I love you all more than you will ever know!
Lots of Love, Kristin Time flies. I feel like it was yesterday that Carolyn called me and asked if I could take Newborn Lifestyle shots of baby Nora and now she is sitting up on her own! Originally, we had planned on taking photos in front of the large mansion at Oglebay. I was on a shoot there a few days earlier and noticed that there was scaffolding and half scraped paint - so that idea was scratched and we improvised. We also found it difficult to find any flowers that had not been killed or wilted by the frost. Truth be told, Nora is so beautiful we could have taken these photos by a dumpster and you would still just look at her sweet face, We walked through the park and stopped when we saw somewhere to shoot. Luckily, we had her mom and grandma there to help carry all her things, and one of her big brothers to make her smile. She had an entourage! Every time Carolyn and Brian ask me to take photos I get super excited because their boys are so adorable and fun and Nora is just gorgeous. I hope to be photographing the Whislers for years and years to come. Here are a few of my favorites from Nora's recent shoot.... We even got one of her big brother! Thank you Whislers for having adorable, fun children and for choosing me to capture them.
